"One test of the correctness of educational procedure is the happiness of the child." -Maria Montessori
Ms. Jojo's teaching philosophy is that children need to have fun in order to stay interested in learning so that they love coming to school. It is her goal to help the children learn life skills to reach their own personal goals as well as their developmental markers. Ms. Jojo graduated in June of 2020 with her associate degree in Early Childhood Education along with her CDA. She also completed her Montessori certification 0-3 in July of 2020. Ms. Jojo has been a teacher and caretaker for children for the last 8 years and has been with Kinder Haus since June of 2020. In her spare time she plays the piano, is active in her church and enjoys spending time with her husband Josh and their children.
Tammie Baughman has years of experience being around babies. She was a nanny for three families before working with the babies at the Nido School. Mrs Tammie worked at Kinder Haus for three years prior to joining the Nido School. She enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere and home-like environment of Kinder Haus. When she heard that the Nido School was opening she couldn't stay away! "I love seeing the babies reach new milestones!"
Kassady started teaching at Kinder Haus during summer camp 2019. She was a pivotal member of the Kinder Haus staff during our re-opening during the pandemic by helping to organize our drop off carline before going to her own studies for high school every morning. She just graduated and plans to attend college in the fall in Houston, TX. Her focus in college will be in education with hopes of becoming an elementary school teacher. “I love helping and working with young children, it always brightens my day.”
She has always loved to dance and was on her school's dance team. In her spare time, she loves to hang out with her family and friends.!
Cat Joined Kinder Haus in 2022. She and her partner moved to Slidell from California in July of 2022 and are familiarizing themselves with this beautiful area of Louisiana. She enjoys playing basketball, listening to new music and writing songs, playing with her puppy dog Charli, and watching sports. One of her passions is gardening and she has been enjoying sharing her love for everything green with the students! She looks forward to meeting all of the lovely families at kinderhaus and continuing to grow with our friends the Montessori way!
Grace Wilson is currently a senior in high school at Fountainbleau high graduating in 2024. She plans to further her education at southeastern Louisiana university in hopes to be a pediatric nurse. Grace babysat for about 3 years before she started working at Kinder Haus Nido. She loves working with kids and watching them improve on their skills as they grow older! Some of her hobbies include hanging out with her friends and family!
Brianna was born and raised in Abita Springs and still resides there as she and her husband raise her 2 beautiful children; Rylan and Brooks, in the same house she was raised in! They live a very country/outdoors life! They enjoy growing our own veggies and raising pigs. For fun they hunt and fish all year round. She graduated in 2017, with a BA in psychology from Southeastern.
Brianna began her love for Early Childhood Education when she began helping in her family's in-home daycare at an early age. "Kids make my heart happy! I feel all my stress melt away as I hold them! I love to put a smile on their little faces, as they put a smile on mine."
